Blotter: Teen Charged With DUI
Police say the 18-year-old driver was spotted going the wrong way down Ballymore Road.

18-Year-Old Charged With DUI After Patrolman Spots Vehicle Driving Wrong Way Down Ballymore Road
September 15: While on patrol in the area, Patrolman Andrew McKinney observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way in the 200 block of Ballymore Road the vehicle was stopped and the operator, an 18-year-old Morton man, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken to Springfield Hospital, had blood drawn, and was then transported to the Springfield Police Station. He was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol, Underage Drinking, and related Motor Vehicle Violations. He was later released to a relative.
Two passengers in the vehicle, both youths from Springfield and Morton, were also found to be intoxicated. They were both issued citations for Underage Drinking and were both later released to relatives.
The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.
Wallet Stolen From Purse at Panera Bread
September 15: An East Lansdowne resident reported that sometime between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. someone stole the wallet from her purse while she was at Panera Bread in the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike. The wallet contained various forms of identification and credit cards. The victim was able to cancel the credit cards before they were used.
