Blotter: Vehicle Inspection Stickers Stolen from Dealership

Plus, in a separate incident, a vehicle was egged along Sproul Road.

 

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen PropertySpringfield Hyundai Auto Dealership in the 700 block of Baltimore Pike at about 8:39 a.m. on Dec. 8. The dealership reported that sometime during the night someone forcibly entered a locked strong box in the service bay and stole 160 vehicle emission stickers and 120 state inspection stickers. The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.

Stolen Property—100 block of West Avenue between 3:30 and 3:59 p.m. on Dec. 8. A resident reported that someone stole two packages from the front steps of her home. The packages had been delivered by both the U.S. Postal Service and UPS. The packages contained a large quantity of non-narcotic medications and a set of three knives. The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.

Criminal Mischief—600 block of W. Sproul Road at about 8 p.m. on Dec. 8. A Springfield resident reported that while he was traveling on the roadway, his vehicle was struck with a large quantity of eggs, damaging the paint on the vehicle.
