Blotter: Woman Charged With Assault, Theft at Best Buy
A purse, an iPod Touch and money were stolen from unlocked vehicles.

Money, iPod Touch Stolen From Vehicle
August 26: A resident from the 600 block of Maplewood Road reported that sometime during the night someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a quantity of coins and a silver iPod Touch phone while the vehicle was parked in the driveway of the home.
Woman Charged With Stealing From Best Buy, Assaulting Manager
August 26: Best Buy’s Security reported that a female just fled the store after taking an item and the actor pushed the manager when they were trying to apprehend her. A description of the vehicle was broadcast and a short time later Aldan Police stopped the vehicle and the actor.
A 38-year-old Collingdale woman was identified by store employees and taken into custody. A search of the vehicle showed a quantity of suspected narcotics. She was transported to the Springfield Police Station and charged with Retail Theft for taking $80 worth of merchandise from the store, Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Violations Of The Health & Safety Act. Detective Bridget McCarthy is handling the investigation.
Purse Stolen From Unlocked Car Parked on Sproul Road
August 26: Two victims reported that sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 2:08 p.m. someone entered their unlocked vehicles and stole a purse containing identification and credit cards and a Phillies bag containing personal information. The vehicle was left unlocked and parked in the lot in the 700 block W. Sproul Road.
