Get Out: Wizard of Oz, Book Sale and Earth Day

Go out for dinner and a show, support the library's book sale and celebrate Earth Day!

Go for dinner, drinks and a show Friday night for only $25! Enjoy live gospel and American roots music at the Vine Christian Shoppe or add to your book collection and support the Springfield Township Public Library.

Celebrate Earth Day this Sunday at Michaels Arts & Crafts or at the Disney Store. Have a great weekend!

'The Wizard of Oz' Opening Night Dinner

When: Friday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m., other show times include Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 2 p.m.

Where: 112 Saxer Ave.

Why Go: The St. Francis Players will be performing the theater production of The Wizard of Oz Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Tickets for the opening night (Friday) will include an open bar and dinner. To buy tickets by phone, call 610-544-5992.

Price: Opening Night: $25 for adults and $15 for children, Saturday & Sunday: $15 for reserved and $10 for general admission

Al Houser & The Hard Times Woebegone String Band

When: Friday, April 20 from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Where: The Vine Christian Shoppe, 154 Baltimore Pike

Why Go: The Vine Christian Shoppe is hosting Al Houser & The Hard Times Woebegone String Band. Don't miss your opportunity to enjoy gospel and American roots music this Friday night.

Friends of Springfield Library Spring Book Sale

When: Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 from noon until 3 p.m.

Where: Springfield Township Administration Building, 50 Powell Rd.

Why Go: Need some new reading material for spring and summer? Springfield Township Public Library's Spring Book Sale is taking place this weekend! Be sure to stop by to see what you can find.

Price: Open to the public

Earth Day at Disney Store

When: Sunday, April 22 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Where: Disney Store, 1250 Baltimore Pike

Why Go: The Disney Store at the Springfield Mall is celebrating Earth Day! Participants will receive a special free reusable shopping bag after bringing five plastic bags in to be recycled. Be sure to tell your family and friends.

Price: Open to the public 

Earth Day Tote

When: Sunday, April 22 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Where: Michaels, 601 Baltimore Pike

Why Go: Spend Earth Day at Michaels Arts & Crafts. Create and decorate your own tote bag!
