The Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday this week will alter trash pickup for some Springfield residents.

Trash and recycling will not be picked up Nov. 22 and 23, the Springfield Board of Commissioners said.

According to an announcement on the township's website, "Trash that is normally collected on Thursdays and Fridays will only be collected on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 19 & 20 of that week. Residents are asked to hold their paper and commingled recycling until the following Thursday and Friday, Nov. 29 and 30."
