Sandy Connor on the fifth grade team said, “Jenna has an amazing ability to personally reach out to each of her students. They blossom under her gentle guidance and high expectations. Every student in her class is challenged to be their very best. She is constantly looking for innovative ways to approach her teaching instruction. Students lucky enough to have her as a teacher leave her class with a wealth of knowledge and self-pride knowing they have been prepared well for the next steps in their education.”

“Jenna is like an artist with colors," fifth grade teacher Elise Baiocchi said. "She is able to take content and mix-it-up with imagination, reading activities, thoughtful and unexpected questioning and logical analogies to create mental pictures to activate higher order thinking in each student.”

“Jenna is a risk taker," Sabold Principal Cynthia Mattei said. "She's not afraid to try something new with her students. Her classroom is a place where students feel free to take risks and where they are able to grow and learn with her support. Jenna is one of our Science Fair facilitators and she sponsored the Stacking Club.”

For all these reasons, Jenna Miller is the Springfield School District May Employee of the Month.
