Local Olympian Blog: Arrival, Practice in London
Want to know what it's like in London for a local Olympian?
Cindy Bevilacqua lives in Chester County and works in Delaware County, but this summer, she’s in London representing the United States as the archery team leader.
Bevilacqua lives in Westtown and is the co-owner of Middletown Archery Club.
She is sending her experiences back to the Delaware Valley through a blog on Media Patch.
We arrived here on July 17 and were escorted though the airport and on to the bus to head to the village. We were lost for three hours trying to get to the village. But we finally made it and received our credentials and we were off to get our housing for the next month.
We also went to team processing where we were fitted for Opening and Closing ceremonies and received other awesome clothes from Nike and Ralph Lauren.

Bevilacqua also already posted her second blog, this one from Wednesday.
I’m so glad that the USA Archery team was able to practice indoor at a local facility provided by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). Today (Wednesday) it was a lot cooler here and in the afternoon it was suppose to rain.
And indeed it did.
We had a great morning session and then this afternoon did more fine tuning on the bows. We finished practice and headed back to the village. We had a USOC de-briefing meeting, which enabled us to get to know the lay of the land.

That's awesome. Does anyone know if there are any other olympians competing that are also from this area?

Is he blogging or anything? The immense strength and dedication Olympic athletes possess is amazing and inspiring, it's interesting to read their words and find out what makes them tick.
