Obituary: Dr. William Simon, 63
Beloved doctor was a Springfield resident and practiced in West Chester.
Dr. William “Bill” H. Simon, D.O., 63, was called home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2012.
Dr. Simon was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a resident of Springfield, Delaware County. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1967. He received his B.S. in Secondary Education from Cheyney University in 1972. He graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1980. He earned his D.O. from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in 1996. He thencompleted his residency in Internal Medicine in 1999 through the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
As a physician, he formed intimate bonds with his patients without ever paying mind to the clock on the wall. He was recognized as a “Top Doc” in Main Line Magazine in 2009. His medical practice was inWest Chester, PA at Clinical Care Associates ofthe University of Pennsylvania Health System.
His faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ served as his sincerest guiding light. He served Him as a member of Calvary Chapel.
When not practicing medicine, Bill was either petting and pampering Brody and Owen, the “sweetest boys in the whole wide world;" riding his Harley; feeding his fix for history, or catching tonight’s baseball game, be it on TV, the radio, in print or in the stands. Most especially, he could be found with his soulmate, united in the heart since 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Penni (nee Pritzert) Simon. He is also survived by his children, Aaron Merkatz Simon, Laika (George) Garner, Jaime (Jamie) Barnes, Annie Simon, and Wm. Brennan Simon as well as his grandchildren, Cassidy, Dillon, Amanda, Anabelle, Shelby, Griffin, Abigail, Reese, William, Madison, and great-grandson Cole.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at 6:00 PM and his funeral service at 7:30 PM at the Calvary Chapel of Delaware County, 500 Brandywine Drive, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Those that wish may join the family for the interment at 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Edgewood Memorial Gardens, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
