Mrs. Elizabeth C. (nee Fredricks) Richardson, 87, died on November 17, 2012 in Haverford, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Richardson was a resident of Springfield for 61 years. She was a graduate of Springfield High School.
Mrs. Richardson was employed by the University of Pennsylvania where she served as Executive Secretary in the Dean’s Office of the Wharton School for ten years and later in the Office of the Provost for ten years. She retired in 1989.
She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Springfield and the Springfield Garden Club. She took particular pleasure in her pets and loved all animals.
She is survived by three sons, Edward T. (Margaret) Richardson, Jr. of Palo Alto, CA, John F. Richardson of Southhampton, NJ, Alan W. (Judy Segal) Richardson of Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and a daughter, Cheryl L. Richardson of Ardmore, PA. She is also survived by a brother, Walter “Wally” (Vernie) Fredricks, a grandson, Edward T. Richardson, III of Cleveland, OH, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward T. Richardson on 2007.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, November 24, after 9:00 AM at the Kovacs Funeral Home, Inc., 530 W. Woodland Ave., Springfield, PA 19064 until the time of her funeral service at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA.
