Obituary: Mr. Robert William Labutis

Robert William Labutis was a barber and resident of Springfield for more than 50 years.

 

Mr. Robert William Labutis, 81, died on August 9, 2012 at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. 

Mr. Labutis was born in Minersville, PA and was a graduate of Minersville High School.  He was a resident of Springfield for more than 50 years.  He was a barber and was still actively working after more than 50 years.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of St. Dorothy Church in Drexel Hill, PA.  Mr. Labutis enjoyed bird watching, wood carving, and gardening.

His is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan (nee Verchick) Labutis of Springfield, a daughter, Brenda Labutis, a son, George Labutis and his wife Jackie, three grandchildren, Margaret, Alexandra, and Nicholas Labutis.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, after 9:30 AM at St. Dorothy Church, Burmont & Township Line Roads, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 until the time of his funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.

Interment will be private.
