Police Blotter: Driver Falls Asleep, Charged with DUI

Patrolman Andrew Graff observed a vehicle stopped in traffic in the area of the SEPTA trolley tracks. When he approached the vehicle, the operator appeared to be asleep.

Pry Marks Found On Vehicle

A resident from the 300 block of Lauren Lane reported Jan. 30 at 7:44 p.m. that sometime during the night someone attempted to enter his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the home. There were pry marks found around the passenger’s side window of the vehicle.

GPS Stolen

A resident from the 300 block of Lauren Lane reported Jan. 30 at 8:45 p.m. that sometime during the night someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole the Tom Tom GPS Unit while the vehicle was parked on the street in front of the home.

Woman Charged with Retail Theft

The in the 300 block of Baltimore Pike reported Jan. 30 at 11:18 p.m. that a female just left the store with a bag full of merchandise that was not paid for. Patrolman Scott Francis arrived and located the actor, Crystal Millison, 29, of the 400 block of Seven Oaks Drive in Clifton Heights, in the parking lot. She was identified by employees, taken into custody, and transported to the Springfield Police Station. She was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking $297.87 worth of merchandise from the store and receiving stolen property. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Coins Stolen

A resident from the 600 block of Kennerly Road reported Jan. 31 at 4:48 p.m. that sometime during the night someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a quantity of coins while the vehicle was parked in the driveway of the home.

Man Charged with Retail Theft

security reported Jan. 31 at 5:48 p.m. that they had a male in custody for retail theft at the store. Patrolman Andrew McKinney responded and took Bizuayehu Worku, 26, of the 6400 block of Chelwynde Avenue in Philadelphia, into custody and transported him to the Springfield Police Station. He was issued a citation for retail theft for allegedly taking $140.51 worth of merchandise from the store. Detective Daniel McNeely is handling the investigation.

Coins Stolen from Unlocked Vehicle

A resident from the 600 block of Vernon Road reported Feb. 1 at about 10 a.m. that sometime during the night someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a quantity of coins while the vehicle was parked in the driveway of the home

Attempted Home Invasion

A resident of Colonial Park Drive reported Feb. 1 that sometime between 6:15 a.m. and 3:24 p.m., the time of the report, someone attempted to forcibly enter her home by prying the rear door. No entry was gained. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Rock Thrown at Home Window

A resident of S. Brookside Road reported Feb. 1 at 7:22 p.m. that someone threw a rock through a large window on the rear of her home. The home is adjacent to the SEPTA trolley tracks. The area was checked but the actor(s) were gone.

Woman Charged With Retail Theft

security in the reported Feb. 2 at 4:40 p.m. that they had a female in custody for retail theft at the store. Patrolman Kai DiRemigio responded and took Martha Brown-Johnson, 60, of the 5500 block of Warrington Avenue in Philadelphia, into custody and transported her to the Springfield Police Station. She was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking $418.17 worth of merchandise from the store and receiving stolen property. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Vehicle Interior Vandalized

A resident from the 400 block of Barker Road reported Feb. 2 at 4:29 p.m. that someone punctured a can of spray paint and placed it into the rear of his vehicle causing the paint to cover the interior of his vehicle, which was parked in the rear driveway of the home.

Driver Falls Asleep, Charged with DUI

While on patrol on E. Woodland Avenue, Patrolman Andrew Graff observed a vehicle stopped in traffic in the area of the SEPTA trolley tracks Feb. 3 at 1:16 p.m. When the officer approached the vehicle the operator appeared to be asleep. The investigation showed that the operator, Christopher Foehl, 31, of the 400 block of Lyndhurst Road in Broomall, was allegedly intoxicated. He was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the Springfield Police Station. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was later released to a relative. The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy.

Woman Charged with Retail Theft

security in the Springfield Mall reported Feb. 5 at 12:31 p.m. that they had a female in custody for retail theft at the store. Patrolman Joseph Prendergast responded and took Marissa Tucker, 22, of Acres Drive in Ridley Park, into custody and transported her to the Springfield Police Station. She was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking $277.88 worth of merchandise from the store. The incident is under investigation by Detective Sgt. John DiTrolio.
