Springfield Fire Company responded to the 600 block of Sherman Road at about 6:40 p.m. on Dec. 19 for a report of a house fire.

Smoke was showing from the two-story, single family home when fire officials arrived, according to Springfield Fire Company.

Fire crews searched the home and started ventilation and were able to hold fire damage to the family room of the residence, according to Springfield Fire Company.

No one was injured.

Along with Springfield Fire Company and EMS, Clifton Heights Fire Co. responded to assist.
