Top Donors to 7th District Congressional Campaigns

Incumbent Pat Meehan overwhelmingly outguns George Badey when it comes to raising funds.

 

Seventh District Republican Congressman Pat Meehan's capaign has raised about five times as much money in his re-election bid than his Democratic challenger George Badey.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, a campaign finance organization, Meehan has raised $2,359,293 as of September 30.

Badey has raised $493,001 in the same time period.

Forty-nine percent of the funds raised by Meehan come from PACs; 48 percent from “large contributions.”

Forty-six percent of the funds raised by Badey come from “large contributions”; 26 percent from “candidate self-financing.”

CRP notes that the organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families.
