When Can I Mow My Grass?

Springfield ordinance specifies when it is OK to do lawn maintenance.

According to Springfield Township code, chapter 77, residents are only permitted to mow the lawn and use power tools between 8 a.m. and 1 hour after sunset.

Commercial landscapers and builders are permitted to work from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Are you are morning or an evening person? When do you think is the best time to mow the lawn?

Section 45.13 requires cutting of grass and weed growth in excess of eight inches.

The "Anti-noise Ordinance of the Township of Springfield" states that "excessive noise is a serious hazard to the public health and welfare and quality of life" for residents.

I have a small backyard now but sometimes when it's really hot I think back fondly to my row house with a backyard that consisted of about 6 concrete squares!

I came from South Philly years ago, I still would like to put cement wherever I have grass.
