Springfield Rd. Closure to Begin July 8
A portion of the road will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through August, PennDOT says.
Springfield Road will be closed between Route 1 (State Road) and Old Marple Road on weekdays, beginning Monday, July 8, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
The weekday closure, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be in effect through the end of August, according to PennDOT.
Aqua Pennsylvania will restrict traffic on Springfield Road and Powell Road in Springfield Township for water main replacements, according to PennDOT.
During construction, Springfield Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 1 (State Road) and Route 320 (Sproul Road).
Local access will be maintained and motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the areas.
The construction schedules are contingent on the weather.
