Traffic Restrictions Planned for Water Main Installation

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the areas. The operations are dependent on the weather.

Aqua Pennsylvania will restrict traffic on Springfield Road in Upper Darby Township, Sharon Avenue in Sharon Hill Borough and Oak Avenue in Clifton Heights Borough, Delaware County, on Monday through Friday (April 14 to 18) for water main installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Thursday.

Springfield Road will be reduced to a single lane at the Westbrook Drive intersection in Upper Darby Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

Sharon Avenue will be narrowed to a single lane at the Elmwood Avenue intersection in Sharon Hill Borough from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

Oak Avenue will be narrowed to a single lane at the Davis Avenue intersection in Clifton Heights Borough from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
