1. Holiday Garden Railway Grand Opening

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 24, 1–3 p.m.
  • Where: Morris Arboretum, Chestnut Hill
  • Why Go: Come out for the grand opening of the Holiday Garden Railway.  Enjoy carolers, natural ornament or decoration making, and a fabulous a backdrop for your holiday greeting card, bring your camera!
  • Cost: Free with admission

2. Santa's Arrival and Festival of Lights

  • When: Friday, Nov. 23, 5-7 p.m.
  • Where: Delaware County Courthouse, 201 W. Front St., Media
  • Why Go: The Media Business Authority presents Santa's Arrival and Festival of Lights. Enjoy live entertainment from Makin' Music, the Media Theatre and a special guest before Santa's grand entrance on a Media Fire Company fire truck.
  • Cost: Free

3. Small Business Saturday

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 24, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Where: National
  • Why Go: Small Business Saturday is a national initiative that declares a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods around the country. Many shops in our area Patches will be offering special discounts, give-a-ways and more. In Manayunk, enjoy live holiday music by B101, gift basket raffles, gift wrapping station and pictures with Santa.

4. Brandywine Harp Orchestra Christmas Advent Concert

  • Where: Trinity Presbyterian Church 640 Berwyn Ave, Berwyn
  • Why Go: The Brandywine Harp Orchestra (our nation's premier harp orchestra) will perform their Christmas Advent Concert to celebrate the church's 150th anniversary.

5. Artmore Holiday Gift Fair

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Where: 10 E. Athens Ave., Ardmore
  • Why Go: Artmore Holiday Gift Fair is a collaboration of local crafters and vendors making handmade gifts and food.  Please come out and support local artists and a great not-for-profit, Indigenous Pitch, all while getting a jump on your holiday shopping!
