Springfield's Awfully Fond of Rubber Ducky

Consignment sale at Princeton Presbyterian Church in Springfield draws big crowds, big smiles and big help for people in need.

Bargain hunters packed the house at Princeton Presbyterian Church on Baltimore Pike Friday and Saturday at the semi-annual Rubber Ducky Kids consignment sale.  Rubber Ducky is a private local small business that stages the sale twice a year.

They also have a big charitable component, donating unsold items that owners don't want back to charity.

In addition to the donated items, there was also an Alex's Lemonade stand set up on the grounds of the church to raise money for a five year old boy from Ridley who has been diagnosed with cancer.

We raised $123 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and $225 for the Rocco DiGuglielmo fund!

Cradles to Crayons received a truck full of donations from our generous consignors and we helped a local family that lost everything in a house fire.

Also, happy to report that we had a visit from the Dept of Labor. We met state regulations for sanitizing all upholstered items. RDK complies with the law!

We want to personally thank all of you for contributing to the success of this event! We look forward to seeing you all in the Spring!
