Consider making a holiday gift to one of the many philanthropic causes in the Philadelphia area.


The holidays can be a great time to make a charitable donation to a worthwhile cause in the Delaware Valley.

Below are some organizations to consider donating to this holiday season.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

A donation to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, based in Wynnewood, helps bring lifesaving treatments to children with cancer. To date, ALSF has funded more than 250 research projects at more than 70 institutions.

Boy Scouts of America: Cradle of Liberty Council

The Boy Scouts of America: Cradle of Liberty Council, headquartered in Wayne, serves more than 17,000 young people in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. 

Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania

GSEP is the largest girl-serving organization in Pennsylvania and serves 41,000 girls in partnership with 15,000 volunteers in Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties.

Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger

Your tax-deductible contribution to the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger helps to feed local people in need and find sustainable solutions to end hunger in our region.

Jenkins Arboretum

Jenkins Arboretum, a non-profit organization, is a 20 acre property that is open to the public, free of charge, since 1976. 

MANNA

MANNA is a non-profit, volunteer-intensive organization, founded in 1990, to serve men and women who are at acute nutritional risk and battling any life-threatening illness.

Morris Arboretum

Located in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Morris is the official arboretum of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Its 92 acres contain many of Philadelphia's oldest, rarest, and largest trees. 

Natural Land Trust

Headquarted in Media, The Natural Land Trust saves and preserves thousands of acres of open space in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey each year. 

Philabundance

Help Philadbundance fight hunger in nine counties across the Delaware Valley, by making a monetary donation. 

The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society

Paws is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals.

The Philadelphia Red Cross

The Red Cross offers disaster relief, collects blood, teaches life saving skills, and assists the military and their families. 

Project H.O.M.E

Project H.O.M.E is a non-profit organization that provides housing, employment opportunities, medical care, and education to homeless men and women in Philadelphia.

SHARE Food Program

Since 1986, SHARE has been providing nutritious food to a network of 550 food cupboards and 250 host organizations each month.

Tyler Arboretum

Tyler Arboretum is a non-profit, 650 acre public garden located in Media, Delaware County. Since 1944, Tyler Arboretum has offered 20 miles of hiking trails through woodlands, wetlands, and meadows.
