Delco Souper Bowl of Caring Holds "Big Day" of Food Collection

A recent report by Public Citizens for Children
and Youth states that childhood poverty is up 30% in Delaware County. More than
21,000 children in Delaware County live in poverty and are in danger of going
hungry every day. What can you do to help? Follow the directions on the flyer you received about Souper Bowl of Caring. Collection of canned and other non-perishable food items will occur the Saturday before the Big Game. Bring food to 3 locations - St. Matthew's Lutheran Church (Bennett and Lynbrooke Rds.), St. Francis of Assisi Church (Saxer Ave.) and Princeton Presbyterian (Baltimore Pike). For more information call Donald Cadge 610-742-1081. Follow the collection on Facebook, Delaware-County-Souper-Bowl-of-Caring. Souper Bowl of Caring is a national effort, but focused on direct contributions to local food banks. Help Delco exceed the 29,400 items collected last year.
