The true story of the ad executive whose media campaign helped to depose Chilean military dictator, Augusto Pinochet

On
September 11, 1973, General Augusto Pinochet seized power in Chile in a
bloody coup supported by the United States government. The military
coup overthrew the freely elected Marxist government of Salvador
Allende.  Fifteen years later in 1988, international pressure forced
Pinochet to accept a YES or NO vote by Chileans on his continued rule. A
young Chilean ad executive devises an unique media plan to promote a
"No" vote on the referendum and to free Chile of Pinochet.

NO

is a moving docudrama that combines emotional charge and satire with a
political thriller to tell the true story of the media campaign that
helped to peacefully overthrow one of the most brutal military
dictatorships of our time.
