Take Donations for the Purple Heart to the First Drive Through Center in Aston

New way to donate to the Purple Heart in Aston.

To donate clothing and household items to the Purple Heart, normally you would have to call to schedule a pick-up and leave items outside your front door on the day one of their trucks would be in your area. But now that has changed for Delaware County residents, thanks to the new GreenDrop Charitable Donation Center located at Five Points in Aston. The former gas station that has been empty for some time is now a drop off center for donations.

All you have to do is drive up to the service door and an attendant will unload your car for you while you wait to receive your tax-deductible receipt.

This is a great way to give to those in need and you do not have to wait for the pick-up truck to come to your area.

The center is open seven days a week with the following hours:

Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Collections by truck are still an option; this just offers an alternative to those of you who want to take action right away in order to free up space in your home.

This is a “green” center because it offers the opportunity to keep things out of our local landfills and the center itself is reusing a building that is already in place.

Contributions to the Purple Heart helps wounded veterans in need. Please consider donating to this organization the next time you gather items to give away.
