1. Paoli Blues Fest

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 6 from Noon - 6 p.m.
  • Where: Paoli Village Shops
  • Why Go: Rain or shine come enjoy the Blues in Paoli.  Besides the non-stop blues, enjoy a street fair with food, kids' activities, street entertainers, as well as vendors, motorcycles, massages and dancing.
  • Cost: Free - donation of non-perishable food
  • Stop by the Patch booth and say hi

2. Fall for the Arts Festival

  • When: Sunday, Oct 7 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Where: Germantown Avenue, between Willow Grove and Rex Avenues
  • Why Go: Come enjoy a day of art, music, delicious food and shopping. Germantown Avenue will be transformed into an outdoor arts and crafts marketplace.  For additional information, please visit their website.
  • Cost: Free

3. Narberth Oktoberfest

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 6, 5 - 9 p.m.
  • Where: Narberth Park
  • Why Go: Enjoy beer, German food and live music with your neighbors.  This annual event benefits the Narberth Fire Company and the Dicken's Festival.  For more information, please visit their website.

This weekend is also The Revolutionary Germantown Festival! The battle reenactments will be at 12pm and 3pm When: Saturday October 6, 2012 10am-4pm Where: The 6400 Block of Germantown Ave. (The grounds of Cliveden & Upsala) Why Go: Come on out for a chance to watch history live as the Battle of Germantown is reenacted right in front of your eyes. All are welcome in Freedom's Backyard, so come on out and celebrate the history that surrounds us! Cost: FREE (This years festival will have food trucks, an Iron Hill Beer Garden, children's activities, souvenirs, and a meet and greet with George Washington, Ned Hector, and football great Tra Thomas from 1pm-3pm. After the Events Grumblethorpe will have its annual Oktoberfest Celebration at 5267 Germantown Ave. from 4:30-7:30pm. Come out for house tours, music, food, beer, and great company!!

I just installed an animated map depicting the Battle of Germantown at the visitor center in Cliveden. It is on display and available for interaction. But personally, I'll be at the Paoli Blues Fest this Saturday!
