Longtime Springfield Resident Dies at 89

She loved life, traveled far and wide, loved her family deeply and laughed until the end.

Wife of Wilson M. Vogts (deceased) to whom she was married for forty-four years. Fifth daughter of William Manion and Gertrude Hasser of Narberth, PA. Sister to Delores Matthews, Constance Manion (Sister Mary Clare, OP) Gertrude Carr, Marcella Williams, Clare Johnson, Rosemary Acosta, Janice Wildemann, all predeceased.  Long-time resident of Springfield, PA and lately of White Horse Village in Newtown Sq, PA.

Survived by four children: Virginia Vogts of Columbus, OH, Valerie DiNicola (Ed deceased) of Media, Bill (Annette) of Chadds Ford, PA, and John of Glen Mills, PA, four grandchildren: Matthew Tierney, Kate Tierney, Emma Ruiz, Andrew Vogts and one great-grandson, Norman Williams. She loved life, traveled far and wide, loved her family deeply and laughed until the end.

A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at White Horse Village, 535 Gradyville Rd., Newtown Square, PA 19073 at 2PM on September 15th with visitation to follow.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
