Police Blotter: 10 Gold Bracelets Totaling Over $10,000 Stolen

The Silver & Gold Connection kiosk in the Springfield Mall reported Dec. 28 a black male fled with 10 gold bracelets. The jewelry is valued in excess of $10,000.

Burglary at Happy Wok II

While on patrol in the 600 block of S. Chester Road Dec. 26 at 1:39 a.m., Patrolman Andrew Graff observed the front window of the Chinese restaurant smashed out. A check of the interior showed that various rooms had been gone through. It was later determined that an unknown amount of cash had been stolen from a cash drawer. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Alleged Internal Theft

security reported they had a female employee in custody for under-ringing merchandise for a customer on Dec. 26 at 6:40 p.m. Patrolman David DiTrolio responded and took Antoinette Archer, 20, of the 2500 block of Kimball Street in Philadelphia, into custody and transported her to the Springfield Police Station. She was issued a citation for Retail Theft for allegedly taking $81.60 worth of merchandise from the store. Detective Sgt. John DiTrolio is handling the investigation.

Vehicle Egged

A resident from the Unit block of Congress Avenue reported Dec. 27 at 7:57 a.m. that sometime during the night someone egged his vehicles that had been parked on N. Brookside Road.

Plow Lights Stolen

A contractor from the in the 200 block of N. State Road reported Dec. 27 at 8:33 a.m. that sometime during the night someone stole two plow lights from the plow assembly on one of their trucks that was parked in the front lot of the complex.

Purse Snatched

A Kennett Square resident reported Dec. 27 that sometime between 5:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. someone stole her purse from a counter inside of the store in the . The victim had placed the purse on the counter and walked away to talk on her cell phone and, when she returned, it was gone. The purse contained various forms of identification, cash, gift cards, credit cards and keys.

Employee Charged with Theft

security in the Springfield Mall reported Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. that they had a female employee in custody for under-ringing three gift cards for her own use. Patrolman Andrew McKinney responded and took Chaneille Hill, 19, of the 1100 block of Madison Street in Chester, into custody and transported her to the Springfield Police Station. She was issued a citation for Retail Theft for allegedly taking $130 worth of merchandise from the store. The incident is under investigation by Detective Sgt. John DiTrolio.

10 Gold Bracelets Totaling Over $10,000 Stolen

The kiosk in the Springfield Mall reported that sometime between 8 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. on Dec. 28 a black male fled with 10 gold bracelets. An employee had taken the bracelets out to show the man and, when she became distracted, he grabbed the bracelets and fled the mall and ran toward the trolley stop behind the mall. The area was checked, but the actor was gone. The man is described as a black male in his 40s, about 6 foot tall and 180 lbs, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy. The jewelry is valued in excess of $10,000.
