Blotter: 2 Pick Pocketed While Dining at Restaurant

Plus: An $1,800 bike was taken from an unlocked shed in a separate incident.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Theft—Olive Garden in the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike between 4:15 and 5:26 p.m. on Jan. 4. A West Chester resident and a Glassboro, New Jersey resident both reported that someone entered their purses and stole their wallets while they were dining together at the restaurant. The wallets contained various forms of identification, credit cards and cash. The investigation showed that the credit cards had been used at various local stores before they could be cancelled. The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.

Theft—500 block of Evans Road at about 5:33 p.m. on Jan. 6. A resident reported that sometime during the night someone entered his unlocked shed in the rear yard of his home and stole a white FUJI 26 men's bike. The bike was valued at $1,800.
