Blotter: 2 Woman Charged With DUI After Separate Crashes

Woman Charged With DUI After Crash on State and Springfield Roads

August 28: received a report of a traffic accident at State & Springfield roads. Patrolman Andrew Graff arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one injury. A vehicle had run into the rear of a construction vehicle that was involved in a repaving project on State Road.  

Further investigation showed that one of the operators, a 24-year-old Drexel Hill woman was intoxicated. She was taken to Delaware County Memorial Hospital to be treated for her minor injuries and she also had blood drawn. She was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and related Motor Vehicle Violations. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Tools Stolen From Vacant Home Being Renovated on Maple Street

August 29: A resident from the 200 block of Maple Street reported that sometime during the night someone forcibly entered a vacant home and stole a quantity of tools that were in the home that is being renovated. The entry was made by forcing the basement door. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Woman Charged With DUI After Crash on S. State Road & Collins Drive

August 30: responded to a reported traffic accident at S. State Road & Collins Drive. Patrolman Dennis McPartland arrived to find a two vehicle accident with no injuries. Further investigation showed that one of the operators a 45-year-old Secane woman was found to be intoxicated.

She was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the Springfield Police Station. She was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and related Motor Vehicle Violations. She was later released to a relative. Detective Robert Nutley is handling the investigation.
