Blotter: 25 Pairs of Jeans Stolen from NY&Co.

Plus: An iPod and iPad were stolen from a residence.

Retail Theft—New York & Company Store in the Springfield Mall at about 4:38 p.m. on Oct. 11. It was reported that the alarm sounded in the front of the store and an employee observed a black man fleeing with a bag full of merchandise. It was discovered that 25 pairs of jeans were stolen from a display rack in the front of the store. The area was checked but the man was not found. The loss was valued in excess of $1,200.

Stolen Property—A resident from the 800 Block of W. Rolling Rd. reported that sometime between Oct. 4 and 10, someone stole an iPod, iPad and a large amount of cash from a bedroom dresser drawer. There were no signs of any forced entry into the home. The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy.
