Blotter: Baby Jesus Decoration Taken from Yard

Plus: Two women were charged in connection with a retail theft at Target.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Retail Theft—Target in the Springfield Mall at about 12:28 p.m. on Dec. 24. Store security reported that they had two women in custody for a retail theft at the store. Ptlm. Nicholas Paytas responded and took Angel Cooper, 19, of Darby, and Briana Harris, 20, of Philadelphia, into custody and transported them to the Springfield Police Station. Both women were charged with receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy and retail theft in connection with taking a total of $636.43 worth of merchandise from the store. Detective Robert Nutley is handling the investigation.

Stolen Property—500 block of Sherman Road at about 1:18 p.m. on Dec. 27. A resident reported that sometime during the night someone stole a solid, white plaster, Baby Jesus Christmas decoration from the front lawn of the home.
