Blotter: Baby Stroller Used to Steal From Best Buy

Also in this police blotter, a car's tire was slashed near Sciarrino's and a door was damaged in the mall parking lot in an apparent break in attempt.

Vehicle Door Damaged During Apparent Break In Attempt at Mall

September 10: A Philadelphia resident reported that sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 2:16 p.m. someone damaged the driver’s door lock on her vehicle while it was parked in the lot of the Springfield Mall in an apparent attempt to enter the vehicle.

Tire Slashed in Area of Sciarrino’s Pizza

September 10: A Springfield resident reported that sometime over the last few days someone slashed a tire on her vehicle while it was parked in the area of Sciarrino’s Pizza in the Unit block of N. Brookside Road.

Man, Woman From Glen Mills Charged with Theft From Best Buy

September 12: Best Buy’s Security reported that male and female were attempting to leave the store without paying for a quantity of merchandise.

It was also reported that the merchandise may have been put in a baby stroller.

Patrolman Sean Clifton observed the actors in the parking lot and when they were stopped they were found to be in possession of the stolen merchandise.

A 39-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both of Glen Mills, were transported to the Springfield Police Station. They were both charged with Retail Theft for taking $159.66 worth of merchandise from the store and Receiving Stolen Property.

The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.
