Blotter: Bike Stolen during High School Football Game

A two-vehicle crash also resulted in a Drexel Hill man's DUI arrest.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

 

Two-Vehicle, DUI, Crash—100 block of Baltimore Pike at about 8:41 p.m. on Sept. 21. Patrolman Dennis McPartland arrived at the scene to find a two-vehicle crash with two injuries. A further investigation determined that one of the drivers, a 42-old-year Drexel Hill man, was intoxicated. The man was taken to Springfield Hospital, had blood drawn, and was then transported to the Springfield Police Station where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related motor vehicle violations. He was later released to a relative. Detective James Devaney is handling the investigation.

Stolen Property—Springfield High School between 8 and 9 p.m. on Sept. 21. A Springfield juvenile reported to police that someone stole her purple colored Girls Mongoose bike from the bleacher area at the school, while she was attending a football game. The bike was not secured at the time of the theft.
