Blotter: Ladder Stolen While Man is on Roof

Plus: A home was egged in a separate incident.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.


Criminal Mischief—300 block of Hawarden Road at about 2:53 a.m. on Dec. 13. A resident reported that sometime over the past few minutes the entire front of his home was damaged by numerous eggs.

Theft—900 block of Lincoln Avenue between 12:20 and 12:44 p.m. on Dec. 16. An electrical contractor reported that while he was working on the roof of a building someone stole the 40-foot extension ladder he was using, while he was still on the roof. The ladder was valued at $500.

What is going on here in Springfield,Lets get back to being pro-active-report everything.It seems like we need a seperate police force just for Macy's.No wonder there not in the neighborhoods.
