Blotter: Man Sprays Wawa with Graffiti

Plus: Hundreds of dollars worth of cell phones are stolen from a Springfield store.

 

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Criminal MischiefWawa Store in the 100 block of Saxer Avenue at about 2:06 a.m. on Oct. 23. The store reported that a man had just spray-painted graffiti on the side of the building. Similar graffiti was later located on the vacant building owned by Bottom Dollar in the 600 block of Baltimore Pike.

Retail Theft—AT&T Store in the 700 block of W. Sproul Road at about 12:13 p.m. on Oct. 22. The store reported that a man fled the store without paying for two cellular phones taken from a display in the front of the store. The area was checked but the man was gone. An Apple iPhone, valued at $649.99 and a Samsung Gallaxy phone valued at $199.99, was stolen.

Stolen Property—100 block of Bellvue Avenue between 3:20 and 4 p.m. on Oct. 25. A resident reported that someone stole a package from the front steps of her home that was delivered by UPS. The package contained three polo shirts and a rain coat. The items were valued at $126.21.
