Blotter: Over $600 of Victoria's Secret Merchandise Stolen

Plus: A thief goes to extremes for a yard tool - but not just any garden variety yard tool.

Stolen Property—Country Club Lane at about 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 25. A landscaper from Norwood reported that someone stole an Echo back pack leaf blower from the trailer attached to the rear of his truck, according to police. The lock had been cut on the gate to gain entrance to the trailer and the truck had been parked between the home and Country Club Lane, according to police. The blower was valued at $500.

Retail Theft—Victoria's Secret Store in the Springfield Mall at about 2:12 p.m. on Sept. 26. A black male and two black females, all dressed in Muslim garb, fled the store without paying for a large quantity of clothing taken from a display table in the front of the store, according to police. The area was checked but the actors were gone. The merchandise was valued at $685.50.

Stolen Property—Veteran's Memorial Park on W. Springfield Road at about 4 p.m. on Sept. 26. A Clifton Heights resident reported that she was at the park to pick up her son and when she returned home, realized that her purse was missing. She returned to the park but the purse was not located, according to police. The purse contained various forms of identification, credit and debit cards, and a small amount of cash.
