Blotter: Plastic Snowman Stolen from Lawn

Plus: A man cut open boxes at Target to steal three Play Station controllers.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Property—700 block of LeHann Circle at about 10:34 a.m. on Dec. 18. A resident reported that sometime during the night someone stole a plastic two-foot snowman from the front lawn of the home. The item was valued at $50.

Retail Theft—Best Buy at about 7:51 p.m. on Dec. 19. Store security reported that they had a man in custody for a retail theft at the store. Patrolman Dennis McPartland responded and took a 42-year-old Philadelphia man into custody and transported him to the Springfield Police Station. He was issued a citation in connection with retail theft for allegedly taking $90 worth of merchandise from the store. Detective Daniel McNeely is handling the investigation.

Retail Theft—Target at the Springfield Mall at about 3:37 p.m. on Dec. 20. Store security reported that a black man, armed with a razor blade, was seen cutting open packages and stealing three Play Station controllers. The area was checked but the man had fled the area. The items were valued in excess of $150.
