Blotter: Thief Steals $800 in Bras

Another vehicle is broken into in the Springfield Mall parking lot.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police: Woman Steals From Springfield Gap

August 10: The Store in the reported that they had a female in custody for Retail Theft at the store. Patrolman Sean Clifton responded and took a 23-year-old Philadelphia woman into custody and transported her to the . She was issued a citation for Retail Theft of taking $47.84 worth of merchandise from the store. She was later released from custody. The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy.

Thief Steals $800 in Bras

August 11: The Store in the reported that sometime during the previous evening someone stole 15 bras from a display in the front of the store. The items are valued in excess of $800.

8 Packs of Cigarettes Stolen From Vehicle

August 12: A resident from the 1000 Block of Edwards Drive reported that sometime during the night someone forcibly entered his vehicle and stole eight packs in cigarettes. Entry was gained by smashing two windows on the vehicle while it was parked on Beech Avenue adjacent to his home.

Window Smashed, GPS Stolen From Vehicle in Mall Parking Lot

August 12: A Prospect Park resident reported that sometime between 5 p.m. and 5:47 p.m. someone forcibly entered her vehicle and stole the Tom Tom GPS Unit and a quantity of loose change. Entry was made by smashing the driver’s window of the vehicle while it was parked in the front lot of the near the Store.
