Women Stiff Cab For Ride From Columbus Blvd To Springfield

July 27: A driver for the City Cab Co. reported that he picked up two young females on Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia for a ride to Springfield. They arrived at Thomson Avenue and Barker Road. The two females exited the cab and fled the area on foot. The neighborhood was checked but the passengers were gone. The cab fare totaled $53.

Vehicle Found on Lawn With 2 Flat Tires; Driver Charged With DUI

July 28: Springfield Police received a report of a vehicle on a lawn in the unit block of S. Rolling Road. Patrolman. Joseph O’Berg arrived to find a vehicle with two flat tires in the bushes on the front lawn of a home. Further investigation showed that the operator was intoxicated. He was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the . A 33-year-old Drexel Hill man was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and related Motor Vehicle Violations. He was later released to a relative. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.

Teen Charged With Macy’s Theft

July 28: Security reported that they had a young male in custody for Retail Theft at the store. Patrolman Joseph O’Berg responded and took a 15-year-old juvenile from Collingdale into custody and transported him to the . He will be Petitioned To Juvenile Court in Media and charged with Retail Theft for taking $280.84 worth of merchandise from the store and Receiving Stolen Property. He was later released to a relative. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.

Media Man Charged With Best Buy Theft

July 29: Security reported that they had a male in custody for Retail Theft at the store. Patrolman Dennis McPartland responded and took 20-year-old Media man into custody and transported him to the Springfield Police Station. He was found to be in possession of a small container of suspected marijuana when he was searched. He was issued a citation for Retail Theft for taking $34.48 worth of merchandise from the store and Disorderly Conduct. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.
