Cops: Drunken Driver Hit Parked Car
A car parked on Powell Road was hit early Dec. 1, police said.
A drunken driver struck a car parked on Powell Road at 3:15 a.m. Dec. 1, police said.
Patrolman Jacob Bierling responded to the reported accident on the 300 block of Powell Road. Police said that his investigation found that the driver, Ashley Bobst, 30, of the 500 block of Summit House Lane in West Chester, was intoxicated.
Bobst was taken to Springfield Hospital, where she had blood drawn, before being transported to the Springfield Police Station. Bobst was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related motor-vehicle violations. Bobst was released to a relative.
The investigation is being handled by Detective Bridget McCarthy.
