Domino’s Pizza Robbed at Gunpoint

Springfield police are looking for a man with a gun they say robbed a pizza place on Baltimore Pike.

A man with a gun robbed the Domino’s Pizza Shop in the 100 block of Baltimore Pike Sunday evening, according to a police report.

Police said the robber entered the store and stated he wanted to place an order before displaying a handgun and demanding the money from the cash register.

The clerk gave the robber an undetermined amount of cash and change which was placed into a yellow cloth bag, according to a police report and the manager also turned over an undetermined amount of cash that the delivery person had just turned in. No one was injured in the robbery.

The thief then left on foot toward the area of Netherwood Park that backs up to the business, according to Patrolman Michael Kingsbury’s investigation.

The area was checked but the robber was gone.

The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Police describe the robber as follows:

  • White Male
  • In his 20s
  • Wearing a plaid shirt and cargo pants
  • Wearing boots
  • Wearing a round bucket hat
  • Speaking with a southern accent
