Car Stolen, Recovered

An Upper Darby resident reported Aug. 22 at 6:08 a.m. that sometime during the night someone stole her black colored 2000 Nissan Maxima from the parking lot of the in the 600 block of Baltimore Pike. On Aug. 22 Springfield Police were notified that the vehicle had been recovered in Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Police Department and two arrests had been made. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Vehicle Tire Slashed

On Aug. 22 at 12:17 p.m., a resident from the 400 block of E. Thomson Avenue reported that sometime over the past few days someone slashed the passenger’s side rear tire of his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the home.

Three Charged for Marijuana

Springfield Police received a report Aug. 22 at 6:40 p.m. of a suspicious occupied vehicle in the rear lot of the in the 600 block of Baltimore Pike. Patrolman Nicholas Paytas arrived to find the vehicle occupied by three males. An odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. Further investigation showed that a quantity of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were in the vehicle when the vehicle was searched. The three actors, Edward Klinges, 18, of the Unit block of Blackburn Lane in Havertown, a 17-year-old juvenile from Blue Bell and a 17-year-old juvenile from Ardmore, were taken into custody and transported to the They were all charged with Violations Of The Health & Safety Act & Criminal Conspiracy. The two juveniles are petitioned to Juvenile Court in Media on the charges. Detective James Devaney is handling the investigation.

Vehicle Damaged in Driveway

A resident from the 300 block of Garden Road reported Aug. 23 at 2:50 p.m. that someone dented the passenger’s side rear door and threw dirt on the door while the vehicle was parked in the driveway of the home.

Baby Formula Theives Flee

The market reported that two white males just fled the store Aug. 23 at 4:36 p.m. with two baskets filled with cans of baby formula. The males then entered a vehicle operated by a white female, who then fled the lot onto Baltimore Pike. The area was checked but the actors and the vehicle were gone. The merchandise is valued over $450.

Cash Envelope Stolen

A Morton resident reported that sometime between 4 p.m. and 8:04 p.m. on Aug. 25 someone stole an envelope filled with a large amount of cash from her purse while she was working at in the 300 block of Baltimore Pike.  

Grocery Store Retail Theft

On Aug. 26 at 1:15 p.m., the Genuardi’s market in the 900 block of Baltimore Pike reported that they had a female in custody for Retail Theft at the store. Patrolman Sean Clifton responded and took Darejan Moore, 51, of the 1900 block of Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia into custody and transported her to the Springfield Police Station. She was charged with Retail Theft for taking $178.60 worth of merchandise from the store and Receiving Stolen Property. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.
