Police Blotter: Bloodshed Left By Smashed Home Window

On Nov. 21 someone attempted to forcibly enter a home by smashing a front window on the patio. The investigation showed that there was a large amount of blood in the area.

Bloodshed Left On Smashed Home Window

A resident from the Unit block of Congress Avenue reported that sometime between 6 a.m. and 4:57 p.m. on Nov. 21 someone attempted to forcibly enter his home by smashing a front window on the patio. The investigation showed that there was a large amount of blood in the area. It does not appear that the actor made entry to the home. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Vehicle Window Broken, Laptop Stolen

A Cockeysville, Maryland resident reported that sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. on Nov. 21 someone forcibly entered her vehicle and stole a laptop computer and a class ring. Entry was made by punching out the driver’s door lock while the vehicle was parked in the lot at Springfield Park in the 800 block of Baltimore Pike.

Camera, Suitcase Stolen

A Moon Township resident reported that sometime between 4 p.m. and 6:22 p.m. on Nov. 21 someone forcibly entered his vehicle and stole a digital camera and a suitcase containing clothes. Entry was made by punching out the front passenger’s side door lock while the vehicle was parked in the lot at Springfield Park in the 800 block of Baltimore Pike.

Landscaping Equipment Stolen from Garage

A resident from the 800 block of Evans Road reported Nov. 22 at 9:15 a.m. that sometime during the night someone entered his unlocked garage and stole two back pack leaf blowers and an Echo weed trimmer.

Lawn Sign Stolen

On Nov. 22 at 11:09 a.m. a resident from the 800 block of Sheffield Drive reported that sometime during the night someone stole an advertisement sign from the front lawn of the home.

Unexpected Delivery

A resident from the 500 block of Cheyney Road reported observing a female take a package from the front porch of her home Nov. 22 at 2:28 a.m. The resident confronted the female and she quickly gave back the package to the homeowner and fled the scene in a small black-colored Subaru. The actor is described as a short, chubby white female, 20 to 30 years old, with greasy blonde hair in a ponytail

BB Gun Shot at Home Window

A resident from the Unit block of Mansion Road reported Nov. 23 at 9:57 a.m. that sometime during the night someone shot a hole in a window on the side of the home on the second floor. There was a BB-type projectile found in the area of the damaged window.

Employee Charged with Theft

security in the reported Nov. 23 at 8:22 p.m. that they had a female employee in custody for allegedly under-ringing merchandise on two different occasions. The loss totaled $729.06. Patrolman Dennis McPartland responded and took Chiffon Horton, 20, of the 1300 block of Blavis Street in Philadelphia into custody and transported her to the Springfield Police Station. She was charged with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. Detective Daniel McNeely is handling the investigation.

Rocks Thrown at Vehicle Cause Damage

A Springfield resident reported Nov. 25 at about 5 p.m. that her vehicle was damaged by rocks thrown from the area of the SEPTA trolley tracks. The investigation showed that the front and rear doors on the passenger’s side of the vehicle were damaged. The rocks had been thrown from the 200 block of Ballymore Road, whose rear yards are adjacent to the trolley tracks.

Juvenile Charged with Retail Theft

security reported Nov. 26 at about 4 p.m. that they had a young male in custody for retail theft at the store. Patrolman Daniel Boyd responded and took a 17-year-old juvenile from Lansdowne into custody and transported him to the Springfield Police Station. He was issued a citation for Retail Theft for allegedly taking $150 worth of merchandise from the store. He was later released to a relative. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

An Odd Gift Leaves Damage

A resident from the 200 block of E. Springfield Road reported that sometime between 1:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 26 someone placed an old bathroom sink in the bed of his truck while it was parked in the driveway of the home. The sink damaged and scratched the paint on the bed of the truck.

Who Stole Christmas?

A resident from the 200 block of Worrell Drive reported Nov. 27 at 7:15 a.m. that sometime over the last week someone stole a Christmas decoration from a package that was delivered to his residence. The opened box was left on the side of the home. The victim also reported that he has not received two additional boxes containing Christmas decorations that were supposed to have already been delivered to the home.

Burglar Steals Electronics

A resident from the 100 block of N. State Road reported Nov. 27 at 11:47 a.m. that sometime between 12:35 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 someone entered his home through an unsecured window on the side of the house that is adjacent to the . Once inside the actor(s) stole an HP laptop computer, an AT&T 3G iPhone and cash from an office in the home. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Checks Stolen from Unlocked Vehicle

A resident from the 700 block of Parker Drive reported Nov. 27 at 12:28 p.m. that sometime during the night someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a group of business checks while the vehicle was parked on the street in front of the home. There were no signs of forced entry.

Unattended Purse Stolen

A resident from the 600 block of Baltimore Pike reported Nov. 27 at 2:26 p.m. that, while she was carrying packages into her home, someone stole her purse from her vehicle. The purse contained various forms of identification, cash and a debit card.

Unlocked Vehicle Entered

On Nov. 27 at 11:53 p.m. a resident from the 1400 block of Palmer Drive reported that sometime during the night someone entered her unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the interior. It does not appear as if anything was taken. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the home.
