Police Blotter: Vehicles Broken Into, Vandalized

Several vehicles' windows were smashed and items stolen include cash, cell phones and credit cards.

Truck Damaged

A resident from the 100 block of Netherwood Drive reported April 30 at 6:09 a.m. that sometime during the night someone damaged the windshield and hood of his truck while it was parked in the driveway of the home.

Purse Stolen from Vehicle

A Virginia Beach resident reported that sometime May 1 between 12:30 p.m. and 2:11 p.m. someone forcibly entered her vehicle and stole her purse while the vehicle was parked in the lot at the . The purse contained cash, various forms of identification and credit cards. The thieves made entry by punching out the lock and door handle on the driver’s door. The victim was able to cancel the credit cards before they were used. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.

Vehicle Window Smashed

A resident from the 600 block of Andrew Road reported May 4 at 10:47 a.m. that sometime during the night someone broke a window on the passenger’s side of his vehicle while it was parked on the street. It appears as if a rock had been thrown through the window.

Eight Tires Punctured

A resident from the 500 block of Saxer Avenue reported May 3 at 7:11 a.m. that sometime during the night someone punctured all eight tires on two of his vehicles that were parked in the driveway of the home.

Three Vehicles’ Windows Smashed, Items Stolen

The owners of the three listed vehicles reported May 6 at 2:08 a.m. that sometime between midnight and the time of the report someone forcibly entered their vehicles while they were parked in the lot at the . A rock was thrown through the windows to make entry. A man's wallet with credit cards and identification, a woman’s wallet with credit cards and identification, a black iPhone and a Zoom MP3 player were taken from the first vehicle. The other two vehicles were rummaged through. The incidents are under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.
