Cash Stolen from Home

A resident of Plymouth Road reported May 2 that sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 3:44 p.m. someone entered his home and stole cash from two bedrooms. The entry was made through an unlocked rear door. The incident is under investigation by Detective James Devaney.

Jewelry Stolen from Home

A resident from the 600 block of Evans Road reported May 4 at 10:45 a.m. that on April 26 she noticed that her second floor bathroom window was unlocked and the blinds on the windows had been twisted around. The victim did not think anything of the situation until she noticed jewelry was missing from her bedroom. The victim found that a diamond ring and two pairs of gold earrings had been stolen. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Attempted Home Invasion

A resident from the 400 block of Glendale Circle reported May 4 at 11:15 a.m. that over the last few days someone attempted to forcibly enter his home through a basement window. Two windows had the screens pushed in but no entry had been gained.

Large Amount of Cash Stolen from Home

A resident from the 1000 block of Westwood Drive reported that sometime April 30 between 9 a.m. and 9:22 p.m. someone forcibly entered his residence through a first floor window in the rear of the home. Rooms on the second floor of the home had been rummaged through. The only thing known missing at the time of the report is a large amount of cash. The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy.

Woman Charged with Retail Theft

security in the reported April 30 at 1:02 p.m. that they had a female in custody for retail theft at the store. Patrolman Michael Kingsbury responded and took Rochelle Murphy, 56, of Lindenwood Street in Philadelphia, into custody and transported her to the police station. Target security reported that she was also identified as being in the store on April 27 and allegedly stole $217.96 worth of merchandise. She was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking a total of $332.91 worth of merchandise from the store and receiving stolen property. Further investigation showed that she had an outstanding warrant from Delaware County courts. The incidents are under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Morton Police Assist In Retail Theft Arrest

The in the 1100 block of Baltimore Pike reported May 1 at 12:06 p.m. that a female had fled the store without paying for multiple pairs of shoes and still wore one stolen pair. She entered a grey colored pickup truck and fled the lot. A short time later Morton police reported observing the truck on E. Woodland Avenue pulling into the lot. The vehicle left the lot and was stopped in the 1000 block of E. Woodland Avenue. Patrolman Michael Kingsbury arrived and observed the woman fleeing the vehicle on foot. She was apprehended, identified by store employees and taken into custody. Officers report that she false information about her identity. Leanne Sharkey, 34, of the 5300 block of Swartz Road in Norristown, was transported to the Springfield police station and charged with retail theft for allegedly taking $195.96 worth of merchandise from the store, receiving stolen property and providing false identification to law enforcement. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Retail Theft Charges

security reported May 5 at 8:56 p.m. that they had a female in custody for retail theft at the store. Patrolman Kai DiRemigio responded and took Lacey Porter, 19, of the 900 block of Fariston Drive in Drexel Hill, into custody and transported her to the Springfield police station. The officer reports that she provided false information when she was interviewed. She was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking $104.50 worth of merchandise from the store and giving false identification to law enforcement. Detective Daniel McNeely is handling the investigation.

iPhone Stolen at Junior Prom

A Plymouth Meeting youth reported May 6 at 11:22 a.m. that sometime during the night May 5 someone stole her iPhone while she was attending her junior prom at the . The phone is valued is excess of $300.
