Springfield Fire Co. Receives State Grant

Local fire company received funding from the state recently.

 

Springfield Fire Company received grant money in the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner's Volunteer Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program (VFCVAS).

The State Fire Commissioner's Office reviewed the 2,713 applications and approved 2,665 applications for 2012-2013.

The final distribution to Fire Companies, statewide, totaled $26,400,000 and for Vounteer Ambulance Services totaled $3,600,000, according to Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
