Springfield Teen Charged With Stealing Go-Cart
The go-cart was valued in excess of $5,000.
A go-cart was reported missing and found in the same day, and a Springfield teen faces charges as a result.
A resident from the 300 block of Lynbrooke Road told Springfield Police last Thursday that someone had forcibly entered the shed in the rear yard and stolen a racing go-cart, according to a police report.
The go-cart, according to the report, was orange in color and valued in excess of $5,000.
In the afternoon, Patrolman Jacob Bierling responded to a report of a go-cart racing in the neighborhood on the 400 block of Glendale Circle.
The go-cart was last seen heading into the rear yard of a home, according to a police report, which is where the go-cart was found, hidden in the bushes.
A 17-year-old juvenile from Springfield will be Petitioned To Juvenile Court in Media and charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, Motor Vehicle Violations, and other related charges. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.
