Swiss Farms Robbed at Gunpoint

The Swiss Farms Store in the 600 block of Baltimore Pike was robbed at gunpoint on November 2 around 11:30 p.m.

The Swiss Farms Store in the 600 block of Baltimore Pike was robbed at gunpoint on November 2 around 11:30 p.m.

According to police,  a white man, armed with a handgun, robbed the store of a quantity of cash and fled the area on foot. He is described as being in his early 20s with a thin build, about 5' 10" tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue wool hat, with a "scraggly" beard.

The police were originally dispatched to the store for a panic alarm.

The investigation showed that the man waited for a car to leave the drive-thru and approached the sales-person on foot. He pointed the gun at the employee and demanded the cash in the  cash drawers. 

A second employee was in an office at the time of the incident. The area was checked for the man, but he was gone. He was last seen on foot running onto LeHann Circle.

The incident is similar to recent incidents involving the same person in Upper Darby and Havertown.
