Target, Five Below, Others Report Retail Thefts

Read recent reports of retail theft from Springfield stores.

Springfield Police report a number of recent retails thefts in Springfield.

  • The Ultra Store in the Springfield Mall reported that a man fled the store on October 15 without paying for a bottle of expensive men's cologne. The man was seen entering a car and attempting to exit the mall parking lot. A 45-year-old from Marcus Hook was stopped by police and taken to the Springfield Police Station. He was charged with Retail Theft for taking $82.00 worth of merchandise from the store.
  • Target Security in the Springfield Mall reported that a man fled the store on October 19 without paying for three boy's jackets taken from a display rack. The area was checked but the man was gone. The jackets are valued at $150.00.
  • The Zumiez Store in the Springfield Mall reported that they had a young woman in custody for Retail Theft at the store on October 19. A 14-year-old from Philadelphia was issued a citation for Retail Theft for taking $26.95 worth of merchandise from the store.
  • The Five Below Store in the 800 block of Baltimore Pike reported that they had a woman in custody for Retail Theft at the store on October 19. A 19-year-old from Philadelphia was issued a citation for Retail Theft for taking $22.49 worth of merchandise from the store.
