Women Charged with Conspiracy for Macy’s Theft, Police Say

A 21-year-old and a 61-year-old face charges after police say they stole from Macy's.

Two women are charged with stealing from Macy’s at the Springfield Mall on Thursday evening.

Macy’s security reported that they had two females in custody for retail theft at the store.

Sgt. David Welsh responded to a call from Macy’s security that they had two women in custody for retail theft, according to a police report.

Welsh transported the two Philadelphia residents, a 21-year-old and 61-year-old, to the Springfield Police Station.

They were both charged with retail theft for taking $416.99 worth of merchandise from the store, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy.

The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.
