How New Year's Impacts Springfield Trash Pickup
Tuesday trash pushed back due to holiday.
Many municipal services will be delayed or shuttered due to the New Year's holiday next week— including trash pickup for some Springfield residents.
Trash and recycling will not be picked up Jan. 1, 2013, the Springfield Board of Commissioners said.
According to an announcement on the township's website, residents who normally put trash out on Tuesday and Friday will only be able to utilize the service on Friday.

Trash pickup for New Year's Eve, Monday, will still take place.
Additionally, commingled and paper recycling will be delayed for one day—with pickup taking place Wednesday Jan. 2.
