How Veterans Day Impacts Springfield Trash Pickup
Monday trash delayed due to holiday.
Veterans Day is a holiday that often leaves residents confused as to what's open or closed, and what township services are impacted.
Trash pickup, for instance, can make Springfield citizens scratch their heads.
However, according to the Springfield Township website, it's not so complicated.

For the Nov. 12 Veterans Day holiday, trash and recycling will not be collected Monday.
As Springfield collects trash twice a week, people on the Monday-Thursday schedule will just have to hold onto to garbage until Nov. 15.

Recycling, on the other hand, will be a little more burdensome. The township is asking residents to hold their paper and commingled recycling until the following Monday, Nov. 19.
